Hockey India on Friday officially named Tim White as junior India women’s coach aiming to integrate modern tactical discipline and prepare the players for the senior side. The Australian has already taken charge and held a training session in Bengaluru.
The Hindu had first reported the appointment on March 30. White had recently won a second consecutive bronze with the Belgium girls at the Junior World Cup in December and was also the head coach of the Tamil Nadu Dragons in the Hockey India League.
“I want to keep the game simple and focus on our collective and individual strengths. We will aim to be a team that values attacking hockey but remains disciplined in our defensive structures. My goal is to produce technically sound players ready to bridge the gap and push for spots in the senior team,” White said in a statement.
