U.N. Security Council to meet today on Syria: diplomatic sources
The U.N. Security Council will convene today (December 9, 2024) afternoon for an emergency closed door meeting regarding Syria in the aftermath of President Bashar al-Assad fleeing the country, multiple diplomatic sources said on Sunday (December 8, 2024).
The meeting, set for 1:30 a.m. IST on December 10 (2000 GMT), was requested by Russia earlier.
