The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said its office in Rafah, in the Gaza Strip, was damaged by an explosive projectile on Monday (March 24, 2025), adding that no staff were wounded.

“Today, an office of the ICRC in Rafah was damaged by an explosive projectile despite being clearly marked and notified to all parties. Fortunately, no staff were injured in this incident, but this has a direct impact on the ICRC’s ability to operate. The ICRC strongly decries the attack against its premises,” the organisation said in a statement.

Israel’s military struck the largest hospital in southern Gaza on Sunday (March 23, 2025) night, killing one person, wounding others and causing a large fire, the territory’s Health Ministry said.

The strike hit the surgical building of Nasser Hospital in the city of Khan Younis, the Ministry said, days after the facility was overwhelmed with dead and wounded when Israel resumed the war in Gaza last week with a surprise wave of airstrikes.
