Mumbai penthouse fetches record ₹76,500 per sq ft price in DLF’s Andheri West project Business News & Hub

In a record real estate transaction in Western Suburbs of Mumbai, a penthouse at DLF’s Westpark project in Andheri West has been sold at ₹15.9 crore at the rate of ₹76,500 per sq ft, the highest rate achieved in the suburbs.

The under construction property has been purchased by Rikant Pittie, co-founder and CEO of EaseMyTrip.

According to property registration documents accessed via Zapkey.com, the residence is on the 39th floor. It measures 2,078 sq ft of carpet area as per RERA, along with an additional 1,625sq ft of balcony space, taking the total area to 2,240 sq ft.

It has been clarified that on a RERA carpet basis, the apartment was sold at ₹76,500 per sq ft, while on a standard carpet basis, it was sold at ₹70,967 per sq ft.

As per the documents Mr. Pittie has purchased the penthouse along with three parking spaces. A stamp duty of over ₹95 lakh and a registration fee of ₹30,000 were paid. 

Previously, DLF Limited’s Gurugram projects have recorded multiple benchmark deals, including a recent transaction in February worth approximately ₹85 crore at DLF The Camellias by Ajit Jain, Vice Chairman of insurance operations at Berkshire Hathaway.

At DLF The Dahlias, an industrialist recently acquired four apartments for nearly ₹380 crore.

Earlier, U.K.-based entrepreneur Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia purchased an 11,416 sq ft apartment for ₹100 crore at The Camellias, while Info-x Software Technology, through director Rishi Parti, acquired a 16,000 sq ft penthouse for ₹190 crore.
