Lisa Ray has slammed Air India for denying a medical waiver for her ailing father. The actor-model said she was refused a waiver despite submitting all the required documents.
Lisa recently took to X to express her disappointment. “Here we go again. My father is 92, unwell and I have to cancel travel due to his ailing condition. Submitted doctors letter and the waiver was denied? How is that possible?”
After the airlines responded to her post, Lisa posted the screenshot of an email that shows she was denied a medical waiver. The screenshot reveals Lisa’s request for a waiver, along with the medical certificate to indicate her father’s hospitalisation. Several people came in support of Lisa as they criticised Air India for not “being empathising to their customers.”
Lisa is known for her films such as Kasoor, Water, and I Can’t Think Straight. Having started off as model in the early 90s, she debuted in films with Hanste Khelte (1994).

The actor was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a form of bone marrow cancer. She experienced a relapse three years into her recovery.
