Marvel Television has unveiled the first teaser trailer for season two of Daredevil: Born Again, confirming the return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones and escalating Matt Murdock’s conflict with Wilson Fisk. The new season will premiere on Disney+ on March 24 and will run for eight episodes.
The teaser places Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock in dire shape as New York City falls further under the control of Mayor Wilson Fisk, played once again by Vincent D’Onofrio. Fisk’s grip on the city appears tighter than ever, with an expanded anti-vigilante crackdown aimed squarely at Daredevil. As Fisk uses the power of public office to hunt him down, Murdock is forced to operate from the shadows while attempting to dismantle the Kingpin’s influence from within.
Ritter’s Jessica Jones makes her long-awaited MCU return in the teaser. Her appearance marks the first time the character has crossed into Marvel’s current television continuity since the end of the Netflix-era series.
Season two also brings back Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin Poindexter, and Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn. The teaser additionally introduces Matthew Lillard in a new role as a mysterious figure named Mr. Charles, whose motives remain unclear.
According to the official logline, the new season centers on Fisk’s campaign to eliminate vigilantes while Daredevil works to reclaim his city and confront the consequences of resistance. The creative team behind the series includes Dario Scardapane, Chris Ord, and Matt Corman.
