JioStar has announced subscription plans tailored to diverse audience needs, starting at Rs. 149.
JioStar, the recently formed joint venture with the merger of Viacom18 and Star India, has announced the launch of JioHotstar, bringing together JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar – two leading platforms for premium sports, and entertainment.
“This coming together of brands, expansive content, cutting-edge features, and a large audience and subscriber base marks a globally unprecedented milestone in the streaming industry,” JioStar said.

With close to 3 lakh hours of entertainment, live sports coverage, and more than 50 crore users, JioHotstar is expected to redefine entertainment, the company said.

The company has announced subscription plans tailored to diverse audience needs, starting at Rs. 149. Existing JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar subscribers will be able to seamlessly transition and set up their JioHotstar subscriptions.

Bringing together the deepest selection of Hollywood entertainment, the best of Indian shows and movies from all parts of the country, and the widest sports offering – JioHotstar would provide all that the viewers would want, it said.
Additionally, the platform has introduced ‘Sparks’, a flagship initiative spotlighting India’s biggest digital creator through innovative and engaging formats.
