The quality of the players combined with hard work helped the team achieve its aim, said Mohun Bagan Super Giant head coach Jose Molina after his side completed an Indian Super League double on Saturday night. Having lifted the League Shield earlier in March, Mohun Bagan continued its successful run to annex the Cup and made it one of the most dominant performances by any team in ISL history.
“I believe in the process, and that takes care of the results. Once you believe in the process, and you have the tools, by which I mean the quality of the players, support staff and the fans, then you can have success,” Molina explained after he was asked about the secret behind his team’s success story.
“We have everything of quality in Mohun Bagan and that took us from one success to another. Now we won two titles — the Shield and the Cup .
“We worked hard every day to reach a level of preparation and the players tried to put their best on the ground. That worked well for us as you cannot predict a result but work for it,” said Molina, who had previously won the ISL crown for the team’s previous avatar ATK in 2016t

“I feel, for the fourth time in a row this season, we were better than them. We had everything under control. The penalty changed the match,” said Bengaluru FC coach Gerard Zaragoza.
“In extra-time, my team went down, and they went up (in terms of performance). It is normal. Congratulations to Mohun Bagan, they deserve the season that they had,” he added after his team lost a second ISL Cup final to Mohun Bagan in three seasons.
