Passenger vehicles (PV), two-wheelers (2W) and three-wheelers (3W) posted their highest ever wholesales in February 2026, with double digit growth, compared with February 2025, according to data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) on Friday.
A total of 4.18 lakh units of PVs were sold in February 2026, a growth of 10.6%, as compared with the year-earlier period.
Three wheelers witnessed a strong growth of 29% compared with February last year, with sales of 0.75 lakh units, while two-wheeler sales grew by 35.2% over February last year, with sales of 18.71 lakh units, as per the data.
Commenting on February 2026 performance, Rajesh Menon, Director General, SIAM said, “Positive sentiments in the industry continues with [year on year] double-digit growth [across segments].”
“While the month of March has festive drivers in several parts of the country, the recent conflict in West Asia remains a concern, both from the perspective of supply chain, which could impact the manufacturing processes and exports. Industry would keep a close watch on evolving geopolitical developments,” he added.
