The court on Tuesday (January 20, 2026) issued three decisions but did not announce a decision on Trump’s tariffs.

“I don’t know what the Supreme Court is going to do … To me, it reads so plainly. It couldn’t be plainer,” Mr. Trump said, adding his belief the tariffs were legally imposed and it would be difficult to repay the duties already collected “without hurting a lot of people.”
